After 2 months off the board it was nice to get on it again. Only myself and one other one the water to start with. The MTB guys turned up an hour later. The wind started to fill in, even if it didn't gain in strength. I was doing full runs from one end of the lake to the other, about 0.3miles turn to turn at the longest reach. Planing >75%.

I was chuffed I only fell in a couple of times towards the end of my sail as I got a bit fatigued. Gybing was solid.

Boo and Phil, then Colin and Neil came out to play. But, the cloud bank had moved in and it just wasn't strong enough to plane.

One time I was reaching towards the reeds on starboard bank with the sun on my back, planing at +20mph and I had that "great to be alive" feeling.....

Only downer was my board has been in the lockup all winter and it's got serious rust crap dripped onto it and stained the foot pads. I thought the roof might have leaked, TONY thinks it was condensation. Eitherway it didn't clean off. But with some bleach and some elbow grease I think it'll be OK. I might sell it soon anyhow. It's 2001 so it's getting on a bit now....
